A solution to settle the problem that there prompts “security log is full” when we login in the infrastructure server

Issue Description
We when building the version of “V100R002C00” desktop cloud, log in the infrastructure server which has been installed the Windows 2003 operating system, we can’t use the domain account, and there appear the following interface:

Handling Process
1. Login in the server via the “administrator” account.


2. Run the “regedit”, open the editor of the register.
3. Create the “DWORD” value “AutoBackupLogFiles” and set it as “1” in the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\EventLog\Security

4. Run the “” to open the event viewer, right-click the security event log and select the “Do not overwrite events (clear log manually)” option, as the following picture displayed:


5. At the security properties page, chose the “Clear all events” and select “Yes” in the ejecting dialog box “Do you want to save the “security” before clearing it?” to save the current security log, as the following picture displayed:



Thus, the security log of the server has realized automatic backup, the abnormal phenomena of registering has been eliminated.

Root Cause
If the server has opened the security verification strategy, the daily view log will be wrote into the security event log, however the capacity of the security log file is limited, so there will appear the abnormal interface of “security log is full”.
Suggestions
In order to avoid there appears phenomena of the security log is full, we should make the corresponding configuration on the server which has started the security viewing strategy.
