Publication Date:  2013-03-11 Views:  28 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
User can't login Virtual Machine and when maintence guy tried to login VM through VNC from OMS portal,  VNC appeared as below picture

Alarm Information
No warning information.
Handling Process

if this function is set as "warining" like below, we can see the windows is updating, and windows start up picture.

but if it  is set as normal, we can only see the picture as below when windows is installing patches.

Root Cause
In Virtural Machine, the boot animation function has been disabled. So if windows system downloaded some new windows update patches and user didn't install them manually, if user shutdown the windows system, and them started it, according to windows system policy, the new patches will be installed automaticlly, and at that time, user couldn't enter windows system.
Gernerally ,when windows is installing pathches, user can see the screen like "windows is updating"
However, if we disabled the boot animation function in "VDesktop User Experience Optimization Tool", we can only see above picture instead of "windows is updating"

Suggestions
1,DON'T force restart windows system when it is installing patches because it may cause windows fatal problem.

2,In "VDesktop User Experience Optimization Tool", set the fuction "Disable boot animation" as warning.
