Product and version information:
  • S2600
  • S5000 series
  • The operating system of application servers running SUSE10 SP2_SMP_X64.
A dual-host system is constructed. After the UltraPath is installed, the SUSE operating system fails to be restarted.

Handling Process
Step 1 Run the vi /boot/grub/menu.lst command to open the configuration file of the operating system.
Step 2 Press i and change the default value to 0.
The following information is displayed:

Step 3 Press Esc, enter :wq!, save the file, and exit the vi editor.
Step 4 Run the reboot command to restart the application server.
Step 5 Uninstall the UltraPath.
Step 6 Run the vi /boot/grub/menu.lst command again to open the configuration file of the operating system.
Step 7 Press i and change the default value to 0 again.
Step 8 Press Esc, enter :wq!, save the file, and exit the vi editor.
Step 9 Reinstall the UltraPath.
Step 10 Restart the application server.

1. Install the operating system.
2. Install the hardware driver and UltraPath management software.
