LDP sessions cannot be established on S7700

Publication Date:  2013-08-28 Views:  58 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
there is no ldp sessions established and no LDP peer discovered.
Alarm Information
none
Handling Process
After all the above mentioned checks were successful but the session failed to establish I began to analyze the hardware of the S77 devices. The output of the display device command is as follows:
<Quidway> display device
S7712's Device status:

On one of the S77 switches the link between them was setup in port 2/0/14. By analyzing the technical specifications of the board inserted into slot 2 (ES0D0X2UXC00) I noticed that this particular board does not support MPLS. Thus I changed the physical port from slot 2 to slot 1 (1/0/14) and the LDP session was established succesfully.
Root Cause
To find out why the LDP session wasn't successfully established I have checked the OSPF session, if the LSR-ID has been anounced i OSPF, the MPLS license file state and the configuration.
Suggestions
Always use the master board (usualy slot 0-1) for MPLS connections on s77 switch.
