ISCSI CHAP error

Issue Description
We have oceanstore s2200T I have enabled chap on the iscsi initiator with 12 and 16 bytes  but still getting invalid

Handling Process


1. Make sure there’s nothing in the Favorite targets, if some records in it, please deleted all of them:


2. Please don’t click the “Advanced…” button for any settings while trying to discover the target, just enter the IP of target for discovery:


3. After discovery been successful, In the “Targets” filed,  while you try to connect the target, please click “Advanced…” after click “Connect”,


4. In “Advanced Setting”, please input the “Name” and “Target secret” for CHAP logon.
No need to change any default settings.


Here’s Name and Target secret must as the same as which been set in ISM:

Root Cause
When setting the user name of CHAP authentication, note the following:
•         The CHAP name must be unique.
•         The CHAP name consists of alphabetic letters or numbers.
•         The CHAP name ranges from 4 to 25 characters.


When setting the password of CHAP authentication, note the following:
•         The CHAP password contains 12 to 16 characters, and must not start with hyphen.
•         The password must contain at least two of the following four types of characters: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, digits and special characters (` ~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) - _ = + \ | [ { } ] ; : ' " , < . > / ?).
•         The password must not be the same as the user name or mirror writing of the user name.
