How to perform a Minimum system upgrade on a TE30 device.

Below is the network diagram of a Minimum system upgrade:

To perform a minimum system upgrade complete the following steps:

1 ) Power on the TE30. While the TE30 is starting, press and hold the Mode Button for 3 seconds or more to enter the bootrom system
    When the TE30 is starting the OLED display shows: "booting" Once startup is complete, the OLED display shows the TE30's default UP address: 192.168.1.1
2) Turn on the bootrom system switch using the Telnet or SSH command.
   a) Long into the TE30 using Telnet or SSH protocols
       Default username\password is : debug\debug
   b) Run the following command:      DM8148_A8-> mnt upgswitch on
        Command output is as follows : set upg switch success : on

If you skip this step, you will receive an error message, upgrade switch closed



For enhanced security the bootrom system is turned off by the system after each forcible upgrade

3) Start the upgrade tool and follow the same upgrade procedure used for a normal upgrade as below

a )The bootrom system has two IP addresses: the default IP address 192.168.1.1 and a static IP address that is the same as that of the normal system. If the normal system is unavailale, use the default IP address of the boorom system for the upgrade. In this case, directly connect the comuter and TE30, or set the computer IP address to a calue that is in the same network segment as that of the TE30 to ensure the computer and the TE30 can communicate with each other. Then, upgrade the TE30 using the same procedure used of a normal upgrade

b) To enter the bootrom system, you must press the mode button when the TE30 is starting

c) For enhanced security, the bootrom system switch is turned off by the system after each focible upgrade. After loggin into the boorom system using Telnet, you can run mc debug to change password for debug users. The password is saved after you power off, but the swich status is not
