For most of errors we need to check all those information from logs.
if we received some errors will be much easy to find the problem.
To collect system information and logs, perform the following steps:
Step 1 Double-click Internet Explorer.
Step 2 Enter the BMC IP address, and press Enter.
Following is an example: 192.168.50.101.
Step 3 Click Yes in the Security Alert dialog box.
Step 4 Enter the user name and password as follows:
User name: root
Step 5 Click LogIn.
Step 6 Click Yes in the Security Information dialog box.
Step 7 Take a screenshot for the System Information window, and save this screenshot in a DOC file. Information is shown as follows:
Hard Disk Monitoring
Main Board Information
Firmware Version Query
Step 8 Click Remote Control.
If no signal is displayed when you use the keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM) function, the system may enter the screen saver mode.
Step 9 Click on the screen, and press Enter.
Step 10 Take a screenshot for information in the current window, and save the screenshot in a DOC file.
Step 11 Click System Event Log.
Step 12 Take a screenshot for the System Event Log window, and click Next.
How to obtain the Last Screenshot and BMC Log File:
To obtain the last screenshot and BMC log file, perform the following steps:
Step 1 Double-click My computer.
Step 2 Enter ftp and the IP address for the BMC management port in the address box, and press Enter.
Following is an example: ftp 192.168.50.101.
Step 3 Enter the user name and password on the login page. The user name and password are both root.
Step 4 Copy the screen.bmp file from the tmp directory to a local computer. If the file does not exist, skip this step.
Step 5 Copy the sel.bin and sel_xxxxxxxxxx.tar.gz files from the data directory to a local computer.
