batch configuration and upgrade 7800 series ip phones by httpserver failed

Publication Date:  2014-05-25 Views:  84 Downloads:  7
Issue Description
There is a large quantity of 7810 ip phones on custom site and the version is not matched with PBX, so we need  batch configuraion and upgrade them. because there is no network management server on custom site, we hope use http server  to do batch configuration and upgrade them, but failed.
Alarm Information
none
Handling Process
as above
Root Cause

we need to upgrade ip phones to V100R001C03SPC240 version, so we can download the corresponding product document and refer to related part.:
1.first we config option 246 on DHCP server, then add http server ip into DHCP. after ip phones get ip, then they will visit http server to do batch configuration and upgrade. for in the different scenarios, there are all kinds of different DHCP server, here I take S9312 switch as a example, at the beginning, the incorrect configuration is as followings:

the correct configuration is as followings:

open http software, as in the attachment. we directly drag the configuration file and version file to the http server opening page, so we start the service now as followings:
we can see the configuration file path is http://10.0.100.4:8080/7810.cfg, the same as config on the DHCP server.

2. check every parameter path in the configuration file is correct or not. usually the parameter path should not change, should be default. the test correct configuration file is in the attachment. so we can do batch configuration for all the 7810 ip phones successfully. but upgrade version failed.

3. when ip phones get configuration file, they will update version depend on upgrade paremeter set. but one parameter set is incorrect in the document as followings:

the correct configuration is as followings:
[ firmware ]
path = /tmp/download.cfg
server_type = http
server_ip = 10.0.100.4
server_port =
login_name =
login_pswd =
http_url   = http://10.0.100.4:8080
firmware_name = 9.60.94.138.rom

Suggestions
7800 series ip phones product document need to be updated. meanwhile, consider the actual scenario, custom use more switches as different DCHP server, not only windows 2008 server as DHCP server. so I hope RD add more typical configuraton as DHCP server.
