How to synchronize a remote replication?

The syncrmtrep command is used to synchronize the specified remote replication. This command is used when you need to synchronize the data on the master LUN to the slave LUN in order to ensure data consistency.

Format
syncrmtrep -rep remote replication id -sn sn of array -lun secondary lun id

Usage Guidelines
• This operation will cause that the master LUN data overwrites the slave LUN data.
• Before you perform this operation, ensure that you select the correct slave LUN and the slave LUN data can be overwritten.
• The data on the master and slave LUNs of the remote replication that is added in a consistency group cannot be synchronized.
• The data on the master and slave LUNs of the remote replication whose pair is in the To Be Recovered or Split state can be synchronized.
• The data on the master and slave LUNs of the remote replication that is disconnected not caused by physical link failures can be synchronized.

Note
You cannot synchronize the data on the master and slave LUNs of the asynchronous remote replication whose pair is in the Normal state and whose slave LUN data is in the Consistent state.

Example
Synchronize the data on the master and slave LUN of remote replication 0022a11041050000 on storage array 44444444FFFFFF108109. Its slave LUN is LUN 0.

CAUTION: You are going to synchronize data on the master LUN with that on slave LUN of remote replication. The owning storage array of the slave LUN is.

This operation will cause that the master LUN data overwrites the slave LUN data.

Suggestion: Before you perform this operation, ensure that you select the correct slave LUN and the slave LUN data can be overwritten.
