FAQ: How to enable SSL and not receive certificate error

Issue Description
After enabling SSL, the device will use the root certificate to verify the authenticity of the certificate.

Huawei root certificate is produced by Huawei security sector, there is no embedded in the browser, so when you log VCT SSL terminal, there will be a certificate error prompt, after importing Huawei root certificate can eliminate the prompt
Alarm Information
Certificate error received when trying to login into the web of TE series and 9000 series devices.


Handling Process
1.Click to view certificate

2. Certification Path tab page, select the first one certificate path, and then click View Certificate

3. In the new window that pops up click Install Certificate

4. Certificate path selection refer to the diagram

5. Certificate Import prior to confirmation

6. Finally, IE settings, remove the check "Warn about certificate address mismatch."

7. Close IE, log in again without the certificate error


Root Cause
When browsers and devices establish an SSL connection, the device will use the root certificate to verify the authenticity of the certificate. Usually the root certificate is a third-party certification bodies and Microsoft co-publishing, embedded in the browser. If your browser can not find the root certificate for authentication, you will be prompted certificate error.

Make sure the uploaded certificate is one you can trust !!!
