The extension under U1911 want to make an outgoing call by dialing remote extension number dircetly

Publication Date:  2014-12-21 Views:  56 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
Customer connect our U1911  with their old Avaya PBX though SIP trunk. U1911 has some extensions that range from 67600 to 67699. Avaya have some old extensions from 60*** to 69***(except for 67***).

U1911 connect carrier system(MOC) by PRA trunk. MOC carrier supplied two long number (24972600, 24972601), and DDI is used in U1911(24972600 is bound with extension 67600, 24972601 is bound with extension 67601). MOC carrier has a special rule that callee number will only be 600 when there is an incoming call from outside to U1911, but not 24972600. so U1911 has a old prefix 6 that used to change the callee number from 600 to 67600.

The topology is like this.

The old configuration of U1911 is as following.

%eSpace U1911(config)]#Show prefix

Customer want to add a prefix 60 that used for communication with Avaya extension 60***, but they found this prefix (60) will affect the DDI feature (after adding this prefix 60,  customer found they couldn't make an incoming call to 24972600).
Solution
1) I think about prefix 6 again, this prefix is used for communiction between MOC and U1911. I found we have another better way to replace it.
notice: trunk has a option to change the callee number.

2) I checked the trunkgroup as follows, and we can find there is a parameter “CLDIndex ” for number changing;
[%eSpace U1911(config)]#Show trunkgroup

TKCGroup Info

----------- ---------- ------------ ------------- ------------ ----------------- ----------- ------------ ------------ -------------- -------------- ------------
GroupNo     Office     Protocol     Direction     Restrict     BasicOutgoing     WithCUS     CLIIndex     CLDIndex     DomainType     TrunkLevel     Operator
----------- ---------- ------------ ------------- ------------ ----------------- ----------- ------------ ------------ -------------- -------------- ------------
50                            2          PRA          BiDirection     YES             INTER/LOCAL         NO                    ---                 ---                 COMMON         Default        No

72          3          AT0          BiDirection   YES          INTER/LOCAL       NO          ---          ---          COMMON         Default        No
6096        254        AT0          BiDirection   YES          INTER/LOCAL       NO          ---          ---          COMMON         Default        No

3) We can try to configure CLDInex to 0
config modify trunkgroup no 50 cldpredeal Yes cldindex 0

%eSpace U1911(config)]#Show predeal
Predeal
----------- -------------- ---------- ------------- ------------- --------- --------------
Predeal     ChangeType     NumLen     ChangePos     ChangeLen     NewDn     NumberType
----------- -------------- ---------- ------------- ------------- --------- --------------
0           INSERT         -          0             -             67        NONE
1           DELETE         -          0             1             -         NONE
2           INSERT         -          0             -             8         NONE
3           DELETE         -          0             2             -         NONE
4           INSERT         -          0             -             9         NONE

4) Then we can delete prefix 6.

5) At last, add the prefix 60 again, and this prefix is used for communication between U1911 and Avaya.
