Cannot uninstall U2000v1r8

Issue Description

Symptom : During uninstallation of U2000v1r8, a warning message “ Directory d:oss\ is being used by some processes. Please stop it first” as shown in Figure 1(a) and Figure 1 (b) below.

Handling Process

Action taken :

01.   Stop U2000 services and processes.

a.       Double-click the stopnms.bat file in the D:\oss\server\platform\bin, to end U2000 processes.

b.      Double-click the stopserver.bat file in the U2000 path, that is, C:\OSSENGR\engineering, to end the U2000 MSuite processes.

c.       Click the Processes tab. Ensure that the there is no imapmrb.exe, imapwatchdog.exe,imapsysd.exe, apeventmgr.exe, imap_sysmonitor.exe, ResourceMonitor.exe,imapsvcd.exe, EmfGnlDevDm.exe and imapPortTrunkSvc.exe processes in the Windows Task Manager dialog box. If the httpd and tomcat processes exist, stop them as well.

d.      Run the Stop_ftp_win.bat file in the D:\oss\server\3rdTools\ftp to stop the apache ftp process.

 

02.   Shutdown OSS as shown in Figure 2 (a), 2 (b) & 2(c) below :

03.   Go to task manager to end processes of all related OSS function such as  imap.exe, msserver.exe, msdaemon.exe as shown

Solution

01.   Uninstall U2000V1R8 for Window 7 platform using normal procedure.

 

02.   Uninstall U2000V1R8 successfully as shown in Figure 4(a),4(b) and 4(c) listed below :
