Publication Date:  2015-06-23 Views:  42 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
A user sets the storage mode to SafeVideo when installing the MPU on the RH2285 V2 server. When the installation is successful, the RH2285 V2 server automatically restarts. Then the user logs in to the OMU portal to check the service running status. Both the SafeVideo and MU are in Offline state.
Handling Process
Step 1 Log in to the server as the root user.
Step 2 Run the dmidecode | grep -A 2 "System Information" | grep "Product Name" | awk -F': ' '{print $2}' command to check the server model.
 If the server model is not Tecal RH2285 V2-8S, contact Huawei technical support engineers.
 If the server model is Tecal RH2285 V2-8S, go to the next step.
Step 3 Reinstall the MPU and set the storage mode to a mode other than SafeVideo. Then go to the next step.
Step 4 Check whether the fault is rectified.
If the fault is rectified, no further action is required. If the fault persists, contact Huawei technical support engineers.
Root Cause
The hardware server does not support the SafeVideo feature.

NOTE:
Currently, Tecal RH2285 V2-8S servers do not support the SafeVideo feature.
