FAQ: A way to check the Server type of NVR6128

Publication Date:  2015-06-30 Views:  168 Downloads:  0
Issue Description

We have NVR6128G1 and NVR6128G2,and the related hardware is RH2285V1 and RH2285V2.

It's sure to tell the difference by the appearance of server. For example, whether the back panel has hard disk.

In some situation like remote session, we can not see the server directly. Here is a way to check by command via ssh.

Solution

1. Login the server by ssh.

2. Run the command below.

 dmidecode | grep -A 2 "System Information" | grep "Product Name" | awk -F': ' '{print $2}'

  • If the result is Tecal RH2285, it means that the hardware type is RH2285V1 and the NVR version is G1
  • If the result is Tecal RH2285V2, it means that the hardware type is RH2285V2 and the NVR version is G2
