Failure to Change the Input Mode When a Teller Remotely Controls a VTM

Publication Date:  2015-07-01 Views:  32 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
When remotely controlling a VTM, a teller fails to use Ctrl+Shift+Space to change the input mode.
Handling Process
Step 1 Verify that different shortcut keys are configured on the PC and VTM for changing the input mode. Ensure that Ctrl+Shift+Space is not configured as shortcut keys for changing the input mode on the PC.
Step 2 Ensure that the input mode on the PC is set to English.
Step 3 Check whether the fault is rectified.
 If the fault is rectified, the troubleshooting ends.
 If the fault persists, contact Huawei technical support.
Root Cause
The possible causes are as follows:
 The shortcut keys for changing the input mode that are set on the teller's PC conflict with those configured on the VTM.
The Ctrl+Shift+Space shortcut keys are defined to change the input mode on a VTM. If a teller defines Ctrl+Shift+Space for changing the input mode on the PC, the VTM cannot recognize these shortcut keys when the teller uses this PC to remotely control the VTM.
 The input mode on the teller's PC is not English.
If the input mode is not English, all the information entered from the PC cannot be displayed on the VTM.
