Issue Description
The encrypted file backup for a Linux client fails. The error code is 9 and error message is a necessary extension package is not installed or not configured properly.



The detailed status information is as follows:


Handling Process
1.  Log in to the NetBackup client and perform the following operation to create encrypted files.

# /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpkeyutil
Enter new NetBackup pass phrase: ******
Re-enter new NetBackup pass phrase: ******


2.  Perform the encrypted file backup again.
Root Cause
Possible Causes

1.  Encryption is not configured for the client or is not properly configured for the client.

2.  The encryption component is not activated.

Fault Diagnosis:

1.  In /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/ on the master server, create a directory bpbrm and set the directory permission to 777.

2.  Manually perform the backup task.

3.  Check the logs collected in bpbrm.
