Publication Date:  2015-07-30 Views:  60 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
The Discovery function is used to obtain configuration files of the BMR client to remap volume information. The error message Disk 'sda' too small: XXX KB needed, YYY KB available is reported during BMR restoration.

Handling Process
If the NetBackup version 7.0.3 is installed on a SuSE10-based client, Symantec provides an EEB package eebinstaller.2176010.3.rar to rectify the bug.

Download and install the EEB package. For installation details, see related documents of Symantec.

If the NetBackup version 7.1 is installed on a SuSE10-based client, the HDP3500E provides an upgrade package to rectify the bug.

1.  Log in to the HDP3500E system as user root.

For details, see OceanStor HDP3500E Installation Guide.

2.  Run the cd /opt/ism/tool command to enter /opt/ism/tool.

3.  Run the ./hdpnbupack -i 001 command to execute upgrade scripts.

hdp3500e:/opt/ism/tool # ./hdpnbupack -i 001
hdp3500e pack pack_id=001 select menu:
        1.  NB71_SRT_SUSE10_SP1
        2.  NB71_SRT_SUSE10_SP2
        3.  NB71_SRT_SUSE10_SP3
        4.  NB71_SRT_SUSE10_SP4
        5.   Exit
Choose one:

4.  Select an SRT used for BMR restoration.

For example, if SRT NB71_SRT_SUSE10_SP4 is used, enter 4.

Click Enter. If the message ++INFO:install hdpnbupack pack_id=001 successfully is displayed, the upgrade is successful.

5.  Use the Discovery function to perform BMR restoration again.

After BMR restoration, delete the package.

     a.  Run the ./hdpnbupack -u command to enter the package uninstallation menu.

hdp3500e:/opt/ism/tool # ./hdpnbupack -u
hdp3500e pack pack_id=001 select menu:
        1.  NB71_SRT_SUSE10_SP1
        2.  NB71_SRT_SUSE10_SP2
        3.  NB71_SRT_SUSE10_SP3
        4.  NB71_SRT_SUSE10_SP4
        5.   Exit

     b.  Select an SRT package that you want to uninstall. For example, if SRT NB71_SRT_SUSE10_SP4 is used, enter 4.

Press Enter.
  • If the message ++INFO:uninstall hdpnbupack pack_id=001 successfully is displayed, the package is successfully uninstalled.
  • If the message ++INFO:hdpnbupack pack_id=001 has been uninstalled! is displayed, the package is not installed in the selected SRT or the package is uninstalled from the selected SRT.
