Huawei RH Series – iMana Virtual KVM Freeze

Issue Description

During RH initialization (and sometimes during it normal function), Virtual KVM (Java based) stop working partially. User can see OS, but is unable to interact with it (OS can’t receive the instructions of peripheral devices like mouse or keyboard).

Handling Process

1. Login to RH server using SSH client (Putty/HyperTerminal). Default IP address of 192.168.2.100. Default user/password: root/Huawei12#$

2. Get device version: ipmcget -d version

3. Using iMana Web interface, in the navigation tree on the left, choose Events and Logs > System Events. Click Download in the lower part of the System Events page, then save the operation log file.

Solution

2. Apply the command: ipmcset -d reset
