Issue Description

2 issues were met on a TE30 and a TE50 where there was no image on the output of the device (TE30) and the image was flipped (TE50 + VPC620). Both devices were using the latest firmware version: V100R001C10SPC600.

Handling Process

The below troubleshooting steps were applied for each issue in part.

1. No image on the output of the TE30:

 - checked the physical connection of the TE30 as per below schema

 - checked the configuration on the device to match the cabling schema

- checked the TV set for issues - tested the HDMI port of the TV set with another source just to make sure it is working

2. Image is flipped on the TE50 (+ VPC620):

- checked the physical setup on the TE50 as per below schema:

 - checked the camera settings on the TE50

-  checked the camera settings on the VPC620

Root Cause

1. No image on the output of the TE30

 - after checking the configuration on the TE30 it was discovered the input source was selected to be VGA (put CAM IN - under Device Control -> Video Control - Video Input source):

2. Image flipped on the TE50 + VPC620:

 - the camera settings were wrong - as the image was flipped and had to be changed using the buttons on the camera itself

Solution

1. No image on the TE30:

 - changed the settings to match the input source ( Device Control -> Video Control - Video Input source instead of VGA chose CAM IN)

2. Image flipped on the TE50 + VPC620:

- change the setting on the VPC by pressing the MODE button and disabling the FLIP mode from ON to OFF

Suggestions

After each installation a testing and acceptance form should be filled in containing all the basic scenarios.

Also, it is quite useful to go through the deployment guide and the quick user guide before the installation as to understand the basic functionalities of the devices.
