Issue Description
Croatia S custom feedback that their BSC6000 have a major alarm :ALM-20715 OMU File Synchronization Failure
Alarm Information

Handling Process

Possible Causes

  • The FTP server module of the active OMU is abnormal.
  • The software module of the standby OMU is abnormal.
  • The OMU works abnormally.

Handling Procedure



  1. Run the RST OMUMODULE command to reset the FTP server module of the active
    OMU. After about ten minutes, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    NO=>The alarm persists. Go to step 2.

  2. Run the RST OMUMODULE command to reset the software module of the standby
    OMU. After about ten minutes, check whether the alarm is cleared.

  3. NO=>The alarm persists. Go to step 3.

  4. Run the RST OMU command to reset the active and standby OMU servers. After
    about ten minutes, check whether the alarm is cleared.    

    NO=>The alarm persists

  5. Run command LST MEASRSTLIMIT to list the limits on how long the measurement result files can be saved and how  much space the measurement result files can take
     

  6. Run command SET MEASRSTLIMIT to change the configuration of measurement result files
     



  7.  Delete the extra files in //mbsc/bam/common/fam/pfm ,then the issue was solved
     





Root Cause
the TL is 14, the parameter is too big, If the files is too big, then the alarm will happen.
So please Transfer or delete these files
Solution

  Delete the extra files in //mbsc/bam/common/fam/pfm. And run command SET MEASRSTLIMIT: TL = 7



Suggestions

Don't set the value of result time limit or result space Limit too big
