when install FusionCompute, Engineer configured VLAN as customer required. However after installation, two CNA cannot ping each other.
1.engineer tried reinstall the CNA without VLAN. then the CNA can ping each other.
2.check the vlan configuration of the switch. we found that port 1 to port 18 were configured into VLAN 2303.
3.check if the VLAN2303 in switch is tagged or untagged.From the picture, we can see, all the port in VLAN2303 was configured untagged.
however, for FusionCompute, VLAN configured in CNA was tagged by default.
the VLAN configured on switch is untagged type while VLAN configured in CNA is tagged by default.that is the root cause CNAs cannot connected in the same network segment.
in this case that VLAN on switch is untagged, no VLAN should be configured in CNA.
So reinstall CNA without VLAN, problem solved.
1.If there is no VLAN in switch, CNA should not configure VLAN.
2.If there is VLAN in switch with type untagged,CNA should not configure VLAN when install it.
3.If there is VLAN in switch with type tagged, CNA should configure VLAN when install it.
