Issue Description

BS ID 67 and 68, this is  multi-cell, currently soft ver. V301R008C01SPC002  , BSC6000 V901R013C00SPC200

I collected TMU_boar logs from active/standby BBU

We have alarm on both CPRI port which used MM_SFP_module and SM_SFP_module [SubLink No.=0  and SubLink No.=1]

Handling Process

Follow the guide to collect them,

.      1. CFGMML of BSC 

.      2. RRU, TMU log

       3. Alarrm  log

It‘s appear the CPRI LLOF alarm in the TMU LOG, you can check the indicator of frame error rate. Still want to advice customer take  the necessary spare parts replacement , optical module and RRU. not only switch. Use to locate the problem gradually replaced



Root Cause

Incorrect physical connection of CPRI port in multi-cell mode, the red area, it must to replace



Solution

And for such BBU redundancy solution, it is
required that the RXU chain topology should be the same, that is to say the
chain should to be connected to the same Number of CPRI port Active BBU and
Standby BBU.

So for example,

CPRI port 0 on Active
BBU<->RRU1<->RRU2<->RRU3<-> CPRI port
0 on Standby BBU, its OK;

CPRI port 0 on Active
BBU<->RRU1<->RRU2<->RRU3<-> CPRI port
1 on Standby BBU, its not OK!



Suggestions

BBU/RRU CPRI port limitation:

For each RRU, the data flow is CPRI_W port in, CPRI_E port out.

For example, Active BBU CPRI port -> RRU1
CPRI_W, then RRU1 CPRI_E ->  RRU2 CPRI_W, then RRU2 CPRI_E -> RRU3
CPRI_W, then RRU3 CPRI_E -> Standby BBU CPRI port.
