Publication Date:  2017-09-08 Views:  52 Downloads:  0
Issue Description

Prerequisites: eSpace 7950 is registered with CUCM by SIP. 2 Cisco IP-phones are registered with CUCM. Pickup group X is configured on CUCM.

eSpace 7950(User A) and Cisco IP-phone(User B) are added to pickup group X in CUCM. Co-Group pickup feature is enabled in eSpace 7950(User A) service list.

eSpace 7950 software version: V200R003C30.

Scenario of usage: User A should be able to pickup calls, incoming to pickup-group members, by pressing GPickup softbutton or by input *11#.

Practice: User C is calling User B. User's B phone is ringing. User A press GPickup softbutton or input *11# to pick up the call of co-group member(User B). Call pickup failed.

Solution

Analysis:

1) Collect traffic capture from eSpace 7950 while trying to pickup a call from co-group member:

Group pickup request URI for eSpace 7950 has following URI format by default: *11#@PBX_IP-address.

2) Collect traffic capture from Cisco IP-phone, while trying to pickup a call from co-group member:

Group pickup request URI for Cisco IP-phone has following URI format by default: x-cisco-serviceuri-pickup@CUCM_IP-address.

3) After comparison of Huawei and Cisco pickup Request-URI I replaced Huawei group pickup URI with Cisco's one and tried to pickup the call from eSpace 7950 again. But failed again.

4) Collect traffic capture from eSpace 7950 while trying to pickup a call from co-group member again:

CUCM replied to eSpace 7950 with "403 Forbidden". Warning details: "Cisco Service Request URI Not Licensed".

Explanation: CUCM restricts advanced IPT features(such as Group Pickup) usage by third party IP-phones.
