eSight can't display some interface's traffic data

Publication Date:  2017-10-27 Views:  464 Downloads:  0
Issue Description

eSight Solution cant show interface performance data.

Handling Process

Checked the performance configuration, you didnt choose Inerface receiving rate & Interface sending rate & Outbound bandwidth userage on interface & Inbound bandwidth usage on interface. But you choosed the other wrong parameter like Number of bytes sent on interface which you doesnt monitor at Link Interface Collection task.

Root Cause

1. Choosed wrong parameter at performance page.

2. eSight manage 200 nodes per device by default, customer’s core switch has more than 200 interfaces, so eSight can’t show some interface data. Need to modify script to extend the number of nodes.

Solution

1.    Choose Inerface receiving rate & Interface sending rate & Outbound bandwidth userage on interface & Inbound bandwidth usage on interface as follows. Now eSight can show most of interface’s data.

2.     Login eSight server, open file eSight\AppBase\etc\snmp\snmp.xml.

3.     Modify "max-req-per-q-config" from 0 to 1, and modify "max-req-per-q" from 200 to 500.

<!-- rule: 0-system,1-config-->

  <param name="max-req-per-q-config">0</param>              ------>modify to 1

  <!-- rule: [100, 200, 100000] -->

  <param name="max-req-per-q">200</param>                    ------>modify to 500
