Handling Process

Firstly, enter the configuration screen for the LSISAS2308 controller card and find that the hard disk status is incorrect.

  1. Check the error code of the LSISAS2308 controller card and find that the controller reads data from a hard disk. The connection to the hard disk times out. Problem may occur in the controller - SAS cable - backplane - hard disk link.
  2. Keep only one hard disk for installing the OS. The problem persists.
  3. Replace the RAID controller card with a new one. The problem persists.
  4. Connect only one SAS cable to the hard disk backplane. Errors are reported when the SAS cable is connected to ports 0 to 3 on the hard disk backplane. Replace the SAS cable. Errors are reported when a new SAS cable is connected to ports 0 to 3 on the hard disk backplane. Therefore, the hard disk backplane is faulty.
  5. Replace the hard disk backplane. The problem is solved.
