iSCSI issues with OceanStor 2600 V3

Issue Description

The iSCSI configuration is made on the ESXi hosts and the iSCSI software adapters are online, but when try to add the hosts to the storage it does not see the IQN of the ESXi hosts.

We can ping all the iSCSI ports from storage to ESXi and from ESXi to storage.

Handling Process



We can ping all the iSCSI ports from storage to ESXi and from ESXi to storage.

Root Cause

Need to rescan of the adapter and finally the storage sees the IQN of the respective ESXi host

Solution

Deleted the iSCSi target ports of the storage in the iSCSI software adapter of the ESXi hosts and also make a rescan of the adapter and finally the storage sees the IQN of the respective ESXi host.

Suggestions

After deleting the iSCSi target ports of the storage in the iSCSI software adapter of the ESXi hosts need to make a rescan of the adapter and then the storage can sees the IQN of the respective ESXi host.
