eSight network Sensitive Feature Patch Application Process(How to apply for eSight network Sensitive Feature Patch)
(1)Applicants should confirm validity of this feature with local legal affairs department.Applicants inform the local legal affairs department of the content of the feature to be used on the site and confirm whether this feature complies with local laws and regulations, and whether sales of this feature are allowed.For example, if a feature associates terminal MAC or IP addresses with the specific locations, user location information will be disclosed. If the customer wants to purchase this feature for the XXX scenario, make sure that this feature can be sold to the XXX region.
(2)If the legal affairs department confirms that this feature is invalid in the local region, applicants need to notify the customers they cannot apply for this feature.
(3)If the legal affairs department confirms that this feature is valid in the local region, applicants need to inform the customer of the functions and their risks. (The customer confirmation form includes but is not limited to the following: billing document, BoQ signed by the customer, email exchange with the customer, meeting minutes confirmed by the customer, contract clauses, and disclaimer agreement, and commitment letter of the customer.)
It is recommended that the following template be used to inform the customers of the feature and its risks. The customers do not need to sign or seal on the template. The customers only need to confirm that they have been informed of the feature and risks.
(4)Applicants send an email to the approver to inform them of the conformation result with the legal affairs department and customers. After that, they can apply to download the sensitive feature patch.
An application sheet must contain the following content(English language):
1) Confirmation result with the local legal affairs department.
2) The customer has been informed of the feature and its risks.
3) the applicant must promise that this feature applies to this eSight network version in the project which really needs this feature, won’t use this downloaded feature into eSight Solution or eSight Network’other versions, otherwise the applicant should shoulder all the risks or consequences or punishment s from the local law side or customer side or huawei corporation side.(includes the function this feature cannot support and the defects or bugs brought about during installation)
