Issue Description

Customer was unable to perform calls to USA using a Qsig trunk

When they dial the pbx says: the number that you dial does not exist

Handling Process

Check the PBX configuration ( all details at description)

1.- at logs found that the PBX was not sending the complete numbers to the peer device

2.- Prefix was not proper configured as it was not related with QSIG trunk

3.- Ipphone has dial rules

How it was solved:


 

 

Configure the prefix 9001 as local, assign it to the
  office route 0 for the Qsig trunk, Run Config softargu  type  449
  value 1, change the dial rules at the 7950 Ipphone


 

 

Root Cause


 

 

soft argu 449 was not configured, prefix 9001 was not
  proper configured for the trunk, Ip Phones configuration error  for
   dial rules at the web page.


 

 

How to avoid this issue in future:


 

 

Configuration issue, as it was first time just need to
  remember this setting in case that a new PBX need to be configured.


 


Solution

Change the Prefix configuration to : Local

office route 0

Configure  soft argu 449 to :1

Delete the dial rules at the IPphone

 

Suggestions

For QSIG trunk check the value of the soft argu 449

check prefix

check ipphone rules configuration

check the dialed number at the pbx logs after the test call.
