Raidcard faulty disks after consistency check

Issue Description

The disks in a RAID5 configuration were getting marked as faulty after the consistency check of the raidcard started. Disk Type HUH721010ALE600

For the same machine there was also created a RAID1 Configuration with disk Type HUC101830CSS200 which had successful consistency checks.

Handling Process

Since one Disk Type was giving positive results, we investigated the one which didn't and found that the firmware for the disk type HUH721010ALE600 had to be updated, with the help of the Fusionservertoolkit, we booted the machine, and downloaded the required package:

 

Root Cause

The root cause was the driver for disk type HUH721010ALE600 which needed to be updated

Solution

Download Firmware:

The FW T3C0
Pls download with following step
1:   1.Access https://support.hgst.com/downloads
2.Click explore under software Support
3. click download under Downloads/Document
3. log in with Username and Password;
4.Then you can download the FW

Boot Server with Fusionservertoolkit and install the HDD Firmware.
