Issue Description

Customer report can’t initialize all CPU and Memory from the device manager in Windows OS appear alarm customer confirm he installed all dirvers and the server is workign normally only this alarm appears

Alarm Information

From the device manager the device can’t be initialize


Handling Process

  • Collect Hardware logs
  • Collect OS logs
  • Update drivers
  • Request customer confirmation how they installed the OS if they use service CD or installed directly
  • Confirm version of the OS and license installation
  • Hardware installation, customer has installed 320GB memory RAM

Root Cause

Customer confirm the  version of the OS installed is Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard, from Microsoft OS limitation this version can only support 32GB of memory this result to memory no available and because the CPU and memory share the same bus the error will be reflect to the CPU

Solution

Install Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise (Enterprise Edition) or later, such as Enterprise and Datacenter. We advise customer to contact Microsoft to confirm the solution.
