espace portal is not opening from esapce desktop

Issue Description

we are using esapce desktop v2r3c00SPC 200 and when we right click the espace desktop on the tray on the windows then choose espace portal to open the BMU self service , after that new window opened on IE but with site can not be reached error message

Handling Process

first of all i checked the settings on the BMU when you log into the BMU with the admin user , then functions > services then checked BMU self service , make sure that it is written in format https://x.x.x.x:8443 , i checked it and it was fine 

Checked if i can ping this IP from desktop that have the espace terminal on it , and it was working fine 

checked from other laptop , opened

Then i tried to type the URLdirectly on the IE , i got the same errir message , so i checked the IE browser settings , it was IE 8 

After checking the TLS and SSL settings , from tools > advanced > uncheck any SSL and check the TLS 1.0 , 1.1 and 1.2 , then tried again ,  it worked fine




Solution

It was an IE settings issue , so we have to make sure that On IE 8 we have to uncheck the SSL and just choose TLS options
