eDC can't add terminal user

Publication Date:  2018-02-15 Views:  39 Downloads:  0
Issue Description

I  was not able to add terminal user to eDC610,  the terminal user was registered on the eUDC.

Handling Process

The issue was that we were not able to add terminal users on the Dispatching System, User view, they were not visible when trying to subscribe them. Our terminals were 8010 and 8011.

Initially, we checked whether the users are registered correctly in UDC.

After that we checked if they are registered on the group.

The group was correctly defined

We also checked the ISDN Number Segment Management and IMSI Number Segment Management, under Zone Management in UDC.

We checked in eUDC the information about  the DC Number Segment, under the Registration tab, User Management option.

We discovered that the terminals were not within the range of Start ISDN- End ISDN of the DC Number Segment. It is not possible to delete the DC number Segment Directly,
or modify it, you have to add first another DC segment number with the correct Start ISDN-End ISDN and then delete the old one.

After this change, we were able to add the terminals in DC in the User tab.

Root Cause

The terminals were not within the range of Start ISDN- End ISDN of the DC Number Segment.

Solution

I had to modify the DC number segment under the eUDC660 Management System  to assure that the terminals are within the range of the DC number segment .
