Issue Description

When the customer was trying to upgrade the NE05E from V200R005C00SPC100 to V300R002C10SPC200, he was receiveing the following error:

ERROR: the file does not Match Equipment. Please confirm that the file is correct.

Error: Failed in setting the software for booting system.

The customer tried :

  1. ftp binary transfer
  2. downloaded the file several times both via Hedex and different browsers, even from different locations.
Solution

First of all, since I advised the customer to use the Software digital signature validation tool to verify the integrity of the firmware downloaded from our website.
The  Software digital signature validation tool can be find here :
http://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/tool/software-digital-signature-validation-tool-(pgp-verify)-TL1000000054/TV1000000016

There is also a guide for this tool.

From the above picture, we confirmed that the upgrade package was consistent and good to use.

After that, since he received the same error, I asked the customer to provide the output of ‘display version’ to check the product compatibility with that firmware.

<HUAWEI>display version

I checked the firmware release notes for both current firmware and the target firmware and it seemed that the target firmware was not yet developed for this specific product :
