No connection to modules in slave in S12704 CSS through console

Publication Date:  2018-02-28 Views:  282 Downloads:  12
Issue Description

The customer has 2 S12704 chassis
in CSS. In each of the 2 he has an ACU2 module. He connects through console to
the master. He has no problem on connecting to the ACU2 module in the master
but the ACU2 module in the slave is not reachable.

Solution

Told the customer to Telnet
the master to see he can connect to the module in the slave this way. It
worked. Then told him to connect again through console to the master and then
execute the command “local-telnet slave”. After this he should connect to the
ACU2 module on the slave.

<HUAWEI> local-telnet slave

In a CSS of S12704 if you
want to connect to the modules from the slave through console then connect to
the master and on the master execute “local-telnet slave”. After you have
Telnet connection to the slave you will be able to connect to the modules on
the slave.
