Publication Date:  2018-03-19 Views:  58 Downloads:  0
Issue Description

Customer wants to change the SSL certificate from the default one with his own certificate.

Handling Process

1. Before uploading the new certificate from the customer, we need to back-up the UMS's default certificate:

Step1 login UMS server with root user credentials

Step2 execute following command: tar zcvf ums_ssl_cert_bak20180313.tar.gz /usr/local/tomcat/conf/server.* /usr/local/tomcat/conf/hw/* /usr/local/aserver/conf/pub.xml /usr/local/aserver/conf/ssl/*

Step3 execute command: ls, check if exist file ums_ssl_cert_bak20180313.tar.gz

After the backup, we need to upload the new certificate as the below steps:

SStep 1     Save the certificate file, private key file, and password file as server_cert.pem, server_key.pem, and password.txt respectively, and compress the preceding files into the ums_ssl_cert.rar package.

SStep 2     Log in to the UMS web system as the admin user.

SStep 3     Choose System > Advance Configuration from the navigation tree on the left. On the page that is displayed, click Scan in the Certificate file area, select the ums_ssl_cert.rar package, and click Import.

The UMS automatically restarts after about 2 minutes.

If any issues with the certificate not working we need to rollback to the saved default certificate:

SStep1 login UMS server with root

   Step2 execute following command: tar zxvf ums_ssl_cert_bak20180313.tar.gz -C /

   Step3 reboot UMS server
