eSight Cannot Find the IP Address During the Installation

Issue Description

During the installation of eSight, the server cannot find the IP and the installation fails. Possible Causes: 

1. The eSight server is not configured with IP address information. 

2. The network management card of the eSight server is in the Link detected state is No. Actually, it does not take effect. Procedures for repair: 1. Check the device network card information to confirm that there is a network adapter with OK configuration. Command: ifconfig – a Result: Ensure that the correct IP address information is configured on the network adapter. If not, configure the IP address information of the corresponding network adapter through yast2. 

3. Check the status of the network adapter and whether it has been activated. Command: ethtool eth0 Result: Make sure that the network adapter is linked.


Solution

Check the device network card information and confirm that there is a network adapter with configuration OK.

Command: ifconfig -a

Result: Ensure that the correct IP address information is configured on the network adapter. If not, configure the IP address information of the corresponding network adapter through yast2.


Check the status of the network card, whether activation has taken effect;


Command: ethtool eth0


Result: Ensure that the Link detected status of the NIC is yes. If the actual status is no, check whether the NIC connection is OK and ensure that the actual network is normal.
