Publication Date:  2018-08-28 Views:  88 Downloads:  0
Issue Description

Removed one 100G Pipe from TX network between nodeA and nodeB

We moved all WDM-Trails away from this path.

Then, we deactivated and deleted OTU4 / OCH

Then we removed all logical fibers in U2000

Physically the 2 cards U401 were removed.

NodeA-SH0-SL4

NodeB-SH0-SL3

Alarm Information

Trying to delete these boards in U2000, it is not possible:

Handling Process

1. Connect on Navigator and check the logical fibers state

2. Check the board status

3.  We need to verify the Ethernet attributes on U2000: on the L3 layer we identify that a port was manually configured.

4. Change the state of the IP address in "Unspecified" then select the port ->right click ->  delete the MPLS relationship.

5. delete the board from NE Panel in U2000 or by using Navigator command

Root Cause

The board couldn't be deleted because on the Ethernet had an interfaced configured manually.

Solution

Analyzed the configuration parameters through Navigator and U2000, then  removed the unnecessary configuration.

Suggestions

Please make sure that all the configuration is deleted.
