FAQ-How Can I Troubleshoot a Time Inconsistency Among the Clustered NAS Engine Nodes of the N8500

Publication Date:  2018-10-17 Views:  107 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
How can I troubleshoot a time inconsistency among the clustered NAS engine nodes of the N8500?
Solution
If an NTP server is deployed in the network environment, configure the NTP server during the initialization of the N8500 clustered NAS storage system, thereby ensuring that the N8500's system time is synchronized with the NTP server's system time.

If an NTP server is not deployed, there may be a time inconsistency among the clustered NAS engine nodes. In this case, perform the following steps to manually configure the system time of the clustered NAS storage system:

1. Log in to the primary node of the clustered NAS engine as user master.

2. Run the clock set time day month year command to set the system time of the clustered NAS storage system to the actual time.

System> clock set 00:00:00 1 January 2008
.Done.
Thu Jan  1 00:00:00 CST 2008
