The time zone is calculated differently in V6R1 and V6R3.
Solution

The local time zone needs to be changed after an NE40E is upgraded from V6R1 to V6R3.

After NE40Es on operator L' LTE network in country K were upgraded from V6R1 to V6R3, the time on all NE40Es was incorrect. According to R&D engineers' explanation, the time zone is calculated differently in V6R1 and V6R3 and needs to be re-configured after an upgrade.

Run clock timezone time-zone-name { add | minus } offset to configure the local time zone.

In V6R1, the meanings of add and minus are as follows:

add: reduced offset for the time-zone-name as compared with the UTC. That is, Time of the time-zone-name = Default system UTC time zone – Offset

minus: added offset for the time-zone-name as compared with the UTC. That is, Time of the time-zone-name = Default system UTC time zone + Offset

For example, in Beijing, China, you can set the local time zone name to BJ.

Beijing is located in the +8 time zone and therefore the offset is 8. Therefore, Expected time zone of BJ = Default system UTC time zone – Offset (8):

clock timezone BJ minus 08:00:00

In V6R3, the meanings of add and minus are as follows:

add: added offset for the time-zone-name as compared with the UTC. That is, Time of the time-zone-name = Default system UTC time zone + Offset

minus: reduced offset for the time-zone-name as compared with the UTC. That is, Time of the time-zone-name = Default system UTC time zone – Offset

For example, in Beijing, China, you can set the local time zone name to BJ.

Suggestions
The difference between local time zone configurations in V6R1 and V6R3 is not described in the version documentation. Ensure that minus/add in the time zone configuration is changed to add/minus after an NE40E is upgraded from V6R1 to V6R3.
