Slow Dialup of the PPPOE User Under the ME60 Due to Incorrect Configuration

Publication Date:  2013-09-30 Views:  51 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
Networking: PC---Switch---ME60
The PPPOE dialup speed of users attached to an ME60 is generally slow. However, the PPPOE dialup speed of users under the other ME60s is normal.
Handling Process

1. Since the dialup speed of users under other ME60 is normal, the network fault is excluded.
2. Trace the services on the ME60 and it is found that the lcp req sent from the ME60 to the client is delayed.

ppp keepalive interval 20 retransmit 10
 ppp delay-lcp-negotiation

Since the "ppp delay-lcp-negotiation" is configured, the packet sent from the ME60 to the client is delayed. The problem is resolved when the "ppp delay-lcp-negotiation" is deleted.
Root Cause
1. The dialup speed may be affected by the packet delay due to the network problem in Layer 2.
2. The dialup speed may be affected by the delay of packets sent from the ME60 to the client.
