An NE80E Port Alternated Between Up and Down Caused High CPU Usage on the System Control Board

Issue Description
An NE80E was connected to an S8505, and NE80E ran only OSPF. The CPU usage of the NE80E's system control board remained at 80%, and the services attached to NE80E were abnormal.
Handling Process

Huawei ran the display CPU command to check the CPU usage details.

Huawei ran the display ospf brief command on the NE80E and found that SPF calculation was performed frequently.

Huawei found that a port on the NE80E alternated frequently between Up and Down states. As a result, the OSPF SPF calculation was performed repeatedly, which caused high CPU usage.
Root Cause

The possible causes of the issue were as follows:

1. The system control board received a large number of packets.

2. Repeated routing calculations were performed.

Shut down the port that alternated frequently between Up and Down states.
