Q: What is effect of traffic limit in Eth-trunk/IP-trunk by using complex flow classification for traffic limit?

A: We can set rate limit by car under traffic behavior view to achieve complex flow classification for traffic limit. The effect of traffic limit have two scenario in Eth-trunk/IP-trunk, the detailed description as below:

1) The member interface of the trunk on the same board:

The rate limit will be affected all member interfaces on the trunk, for example, If we set rate limit to 10Mbit/s by complex flow classification in eth-trunk 10 which member interface are g1/0/0 and g1/0/1. The effect is amount of traffic of g1/0/0 and g1/0/1 will be limited under 10Mbit/s.

 

2) The member interface of the trunk on the different board:

The rate limit will be affected all member interfaces on the trunk for individual board, for example, If we set rate limit to 10Mbit/s by complex flow classification in eth-trunk 10 which member interfaces are g1/0/0 ,g1/0/1 and g2/0/0. The effect is amount of traffic of g1/0/0 and g1/0/1 will be limited under 10Mbit/s and the traffic of g2/0/0 will be limited under 10Mbit/s.
