Solution

Command { import | export } route-policy under vpn-instance view, the “import” and “export” is in terms of vpn-instance itself. “import” means the routes from other instance, “export” means the routes to other instance.

For example, PE1 receives VPNv4 routes which can cross to vpna from PE2, vpna and vpnb on PE1 can cross to each other, PE1 has a peer with CE in vpna.

On PE1, import route-policy under vpna, this policy can affect the routes crossed from VPNv4 and vpnb.

For the routes from CE, even though these routes are public on CE, but on PE1, the peer is configured in vpna, the routes from CE belongs to vpna originally, not from other vpn-instance or VPNv4 or public. So, these routes will not be affected by the policy.

Similarly, export route-policy under vpna, this policy can affect the routes crossed to VPNv4 and vpnb.

For the routes sent to CE, even though these routes will not belong to vpna on CE, but on PE1, these routes will not send to other vpn-instance or VPNv4 or public. So, these routes will not be affected by the policy.
