The E1 of Huawei router supports the 120-ohm balanced RJ48 and 75-ohm unbalanced SMB port. What is the maximum transmission distance of E1 RJ48 port and SMB port on router?

One site used the SMB port. The transmission distance from the DDF to the other side is 250 m. Is it possible to carry the signal?

 A:

The E1 of Huawei router supports the 120-ohm balanced RJ48 and 75-ohm unbalanced SMB port. The CFE1 card has 24 ports, and these ports can’t be placed on the card. We use the conversion box to make it possible that add so many ports in one card.

The appearance of the CFE1 card is shown as below.

       

The conversion box and CFE1 card is connected by DB100 line. The difference between RJ48 and SMB port is the port on conversion box. The detailed difference is shown as below:

3)  For the 120-ohm balanced RJ48 interface, the maximum transmission distance is 270 m.

For the 75-ohm unbalanced SMB interface, the maximum transmission distance is shorter than 200 m.

         One site used the SMB port. The transmission distance from the DDF to the other side is 250 m.  It is too long to carry the signal in this way. Please change the port from SMB into RJ48, or use transmission device.
