The Login to the Virtual Gateway Page Fails and No Prompt Is Displayed

Issue Description
When logging in to the virtual gateway, a user cannot log in to the Web page, no prompt is displayed.

Handling Process
  • Cause one: Option Require client certificate is not selected.

     

    1. Click  in the Virtual Gateway List navigation tree to unfold the navigation node. Then click Authentication and Authorization Configuration and the Authentication and Authorization Mode tab.
    2. Select option Require client certificate.

     

  • Cause two: The client certificate authentication fails.
Root Cause

Cause one: After the certificate authentication is adopted, option Require client certificate is not selected, which results in no request for certificate authentication. In addition, the client does not send the certificate to the virtual gateway. As a result, there is no response for the login.

Cause two: After the certificate authentication is adopted, if the Firefox browser is used to log in to the virtual gateway through client certificate authentication, the authentication fails. The SSL connection is disconnected and there is no response on the page.
 NOTE:
Compared with the Firefox browser, if the IE browser is used to log in to the virtual gateway, when the certificate authentication fails, the prompt Your certificate is invalid. Please provide a valid certificate! is displayed.
