Issue Description
The VIS6000 fails to scan the LUN mapped from the storage array.
Alarm Information
None
Handling Process
1. Check the status of the FC and GE service ports.
FC service port
a. Check whether the connection between the SFP optical module and FC interface is loosened and whether the buckle of the SFP optical module is closed.
b. Check whether the bayonet at the connector of the optical fiber is inserted into the SFP optical module.
c. Check whether the optical fiber connects to the transmitting port and the receiving port.
 NOTE:
When one end of the optical fiber connects to the transmitting port, the other end connects to the receiving port; when one end of the optical fiber connects to the receiving port, the other end connects to the transmitting port.
GE service port
Check that the network cable connectors are fully inserted into the device port.
2. Check the status of the storage arrays.
FC array
For the status of the FC array, see related documents.
iSCSI array
For the status of the iSCSI array, see related documents.
Besides, check whether the configurations for the connection between the VIS6000 and iSCSI array are correct by performing the following steps.
a. On the ISM interface, check whether the IP address, port, and CHAP information added to the storage array are correct.
If they are incorrect, you need to add a new IP address to the storage array. For details, see Adding the IP Address of the Storage Array in the Oceanspace VIS6000 Series Virtual Intelligent Storage System Initial Configuration Guide.
b. On the CLI, run the vxping command to view whether the VIS6000 and the storage array are connected successfully.
Check that the IP addresses of the iSCSI host port of the storage array and the GE service port of the VIS6000 are located within the same network segment. If they are not located within the same network segment, you need to configure routing information for the GE service port. For details, see Adding Router Information of a GE Service Port in the Oceanspace VIS6000 Series Virtual Intelligent Storage System Initial Configuration Guide.
3. If the fault persists, seek technical support.
For details on how to seek technical support, see Contact Channels of Huawei Symantec.
