Install SQL Server failure for installing network manager on Windows 2003 server

Issue Description
It is reported installing SQL Server failure in the progress of installing network manager on Windows 2003 server
Alarm Information

Handling Process
1. Cancel using Terminal Server component.
2. Reboot the OS.
3. Reinstall the network manager after clearing up the environment.
Root Cause

1. Check the follow log file when installing log
logs\logsInstallServer\bundlelog\bundlelog\SoftInstService.log:

2. Check whether SQL 2000 install log “sqlstp.log” is created in C:\WINDOWS folder.
3. Check whether the server used Terminal Server component.


Reason: using Terminal Server component leads to the system installing failure.

We can check whether the server is Terminal Server by the ways as follows:
1. Open add/delete program
2. Click left Add/Remove Windows Components
3. Confirm that Terminal Server option is not chosen in list box.
