This is the environment:
1. OpenSuSE 11.4 with Xen kernel (That’s my PC)
IP address: eth0
2. CentOS 5.5 with iSCSI target installed (Apparently, I don’t have disk array at home)
   IP address: eth0
Install and configure Xen virtual machine:
Step 1 Install Xen Kernel and virtual machine utilities in OS:

The System should boot up with Xen kernel:

Step2 Create virtual machine from YaST Control Center after OS installation finished: (You can use command: “vm-install” in CLI )

Use a disk file to install OS, and the network is bridged to eth0:

Step3 Install OS in virtual machine: (Used a physical DVD drive to install OS , Shall add a CD-ROM device in the virtual machine)

Configure the IP address of virtual machine after installation(For console purpose. The graphic performance is weak. )

The LUN mapping and utilize the LUN in virtual machine (for this part you can refer to best practice of IP-SAN)
Step1. Use command to scan iSCSI target then login:

The disk /dev/sdc is the LUN

Step2. Add new storage device to the VM : Shutdown the VM and Add device

Boot the VM and the LUN will be detected:

You can also install Microsoft initiator in the Virtual machine and do the LUN mapping. Both ways are OK.
