From all the replacement requests that are coming from the customer side you must pay more attention at those which have as a failure reason the software issue. My case, the customer was asking for a replacement process and gave me also the address where the switch should be delivered saying that the switch S5700 doesn’t boots up. Multiple reasons are for this issue but some of them are solvable.
I asked the customer to collect the records where the errors are shown because of which they would not let the switch to boot up.

Seeking a VRP software in flash file system ...
There is not other valid startup file in flash file system
Can not find a valid package
This is a boot loop where the switch will never boot up because it doesn’t have a software file in flash or if it has it, the file is damaged so it can’t use to load the operating system.
The best way-out in this situation is to access the BootROM (already confirmed from the logs that should be OK) and erase the flash, upload the software file and try to boot up the switch again. For the customer this worked fine and no need for replacement.
How to erase the flash and upload a new software version through BootROM is not the purpose of this case (see documentation).
