An eSpace U1930 user dials the conference access code, chooses to join the conference, and enters the ID and password. However, the user only hears the beep tone but fails to join the conference. The user checks the conference access code, ID, and password and finds that they are all correctly entered.
Step 1 Check debug logs and find that the conference ID received by the private branch exchange (PBX) is 0.
Step 2 Check the conference information and IP phone settings and find that SRTP encryption is enabled for the conference but disabled on the IP phone.
Step 3 Rectify the fault in either of the following two ways:
1. Schedule a conference again and select Unencrypt for Confer SRTP.The IP phone can be used to join the conference regardless of the SRTP encryption status of the IP phone.
2. Enable SRTP encryption for the IP phone. The IP phone can be used to join the conference regardless of the SRTP encryption status of the conference.
The conference has SRTP encryption enabled while SRTP encryption is disabled on the IP phone used to join the conference.
The preceding fault only occurs on the broadband user but not the narrowband user. Therefore, the SRTP encryption status of the conference has no effect on mobile users.
